Dr. Eric Thorson
Artistic Director/Conductor
Conductor of the Knoxville Choral Society since 1995 and artistic director since 1996, Dr. Thorson is professor of music and director of choral activities at Carson-Newman College, where he conducts A Cappella Choir, Men’s Chorus, and Oratorio Chorus. In 2003, Thorson was awarded the Distinguished Faculty Award, the highest award given to faculty at Carson-Newman. Read more >>
Bill Brewer
Assistant Director
Bill Brewer was named assistant director of the Knoxville Choral Society and conductor of the Knoxville Chamber Chorale in the summer of 2005. He has been a singing member of the group since 1986 and has served two terms as president of the organization as well as sitting on the board of directors. Bill is an associate professor of music at Pellissippi State Technical Community College where he directs two choral ensembles, is lead teacher in voice, and teaches ear training, conducting, and music appreciation. Danny Brian

Danny Brian is a Nashville native who began his musical studies at Peabody and Blair Academy of Music at age 8. Brian received his bachelor of music degree from Middle Tennessee State University and did his master's work at the University of Tennessee, where he studied with Dr. David Northington. Brian has performed as guest soloist with many orchestras, including the Jackson Symphony Orchestra, the Peabody Orchestra, MTSU Community Orchestra, the University of Tennessee Orchestra, and the Maryville-Alcoa Community Orchestra.
