Welcome !
Hello, and welcome to The Knoxville Choral Society website!
My name is Anne Siddell. As the current president of the board of Knoxville Choral Society, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and The KCS to you. The Knoxville Choral Society is an auditioned symphonic chorus of more than 150 voices, offering excellence through professional choral performances, the commissioning of new works, the promotion of music education, and cultural outreach. We have been sharing the beauty and energy of great choral works in the Knoxville area for more than 50 years.
Members of the Knoxville Choral Society come both from Knoxville and the surrounding counties. Some of us are professional musicians. Others are educators, business leaders, students, stay-at-home parents, retirees—we truly represent a cross-section of our community. We attend rehearsal faithfully each week simply because we embrace choral music, and we love to sing.
Our season runs from August through May, and in that time we perform several concerts. These concerts typically include our fall concert in October or November; our collaboration with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra in the Clayton Holiday Concerts in December; an additional performance with the KSO Masterworks series in the spring; and our honors concert, featuring the winners of our annual Young Classical Musicians Competition.
The Knoxville Chamber Chorale is an auditioned chamber group from within the large choir. They often perform one or more numbers during KCS concerts, and hold an additional stand-alone concert each year in the spring. The Chorale performs at local community functions as well. This Year’s Chorale concert will be held on May 3rd at St. John’s Episcopal Church in downtown Knoxville.

Auditions for the Knoxville Choral Society are held in August and January. If you are interested in auditioning for our group, please see our auditions page.
