Leslie Hill

Accompanist

Leslie Hill is a lifelong resident of Knoxville and began studying piano as a young child. Earning both a B.S. and M.S. in Music Education from UT, and an Ed.S. from Lincoln Memorial University, she spent 14 years as a public school music teacher and loved teaching young singers to be musically literate, to appreciate the beauty and passion of music, and to be better people because music was a part of their souls.

While teaching, Leslie always served as pianist for local churches. Church music eventually became a greater calling than music education, leading her to give up teaching at Gibbs High School in order to become the Director of Music Ministries at Fountain City United Methodist Church. She directs both youth and adult choirs and handbells choirs, and is so happy to be able to make music with people she loves so.
